Description:
The ancient church of the parish stood about 60 metres southeast of the present Ballinakill House. Some insignificant remains of the church are visible in the stable yard of the house in question, and part of the ancient cemetery, in which a few families retain rights of burial, is surrounded by an enclosing wall. A considerable portion of the church building survived until about a hundred and fifty years ago.
