Administrative Details:

Description:
Consequent on the maritime character of this Parish, cliff and seashore names are numerous. Otherwise, the district embraced affords nothing of special interest. The name of the Parish, derived, in the usual way, from the townland on which stood the ancient parochial church, is ecclesiastical in origin.
