Description:
This is one of the largest parishes in Decies, but, as it includes a considerable area of mountain and waste land, its population and importance are not proportioned to its extent. The name – Cill Ronáin, (“Ronan’s Church) is of course ecclesiastical, but which individual, of the eleven or twelve Ronans in the Irish martyrologies, it is who gave his name to the original church it is now difficult, perhaps impossible, to define. The ancient church, which stands in the townland of Glebe, possesses considerable architectural interest, and the ruin is in a fair state of preservation.
