Description:
This is the ancient parish of Clonmel, embracing the town and suburbs of the capital of Tipperary on the north side of the Suir, and a considerable area of unreclaimed mountain country on the south, or Waterford side. The ancient parish church - St. Mary's still stands within the town, its cemetery bounded on two sides by the old town wall.
